November Club Meeting

Join us for our club meeting in November! Participate in our annual Honey Show and potluck snacks and desserts!

Club members can bring in their honey from the hive as well as products made from the hive. Each entry will be judged and given a ranking by official Honey Judges. This is great practice for any future honey contests you wish to participate in. We especially recommend entering the Black Jar Honey Tasting. The honey judges will give you feedback on what you did well and how to improve. You can also enter bee themed arts and crafts if you do not yet have honey or wax to use for entries.

While judging takes place, we will have games and food to enjoy. Please bring something to share with the group potluck style! Please note that drinks cannot be in open cups, it must be in a container with a lid.

Rules for honey tasting will be provided via email to members prior to the event. If you wish to participate, we can provide jars to you for free, just speak to our club president, Mike, about it at one of the meetings prior to the honey show.

Gwinnett County Fair

The Gwinnett County Bee Club will be hosting a booth at the Gwinnett County Fair Exhibit Hall!

At the hall, we will be selling honey to raise money for the club, this is our biggest annual fundraiser to help put on events for club members and the community.

Help out by working 4 hour shifts inside the air conditioned building. You can expect to meet people from the public, answer basic questions about bees and our club, and then provide honey tasting and sell honey provided by one of our members Ally Bees Honey.

For information about how you can help, reach out to us by email at gwinnettbeekeepers@gmail.com
